Ivan Turgenev's novel "Rudin" is another story about the "superfluous man". Dmitry Nikolayevich Rudin is a representative of an intelligent, educated, loving to philosophize and argue the strata of society. He wants to carry the light of knowledge to the younger generation, but whether he is ready to change his habits and views is also a question. He is a strange character.
