Ivan Turgenev's novel "Rudin" is another story about the "superfluous man". Dmitry Nikolayevich Rudin is a representative of an intelligent, educated, loving to philosophize and argue the strata of society. The trouble is only one - there is not enough money for carefree life. The problem is also one - nothing touches this person; he does everything cleverly and judiciously but his heart remains cold at the same time. The love of a young girl is pleasant and exciting, but whether it really touches him or not is a good question. He wants to carry the light of knowledge to the younger generation, but whether he is ready to change his habits and views is also a question. He is a strange character.
