Entry level fantasy at it's most spectacular, A wonderful journey for any age. Great story written by a master of the craft. Spellbinding!!!

This trilogy takes some known qualities of great fantasy and mixes then up with borderline science fiction to create a rich and enjoyable set of individual quests which slowly tie together to a grand finale. The pacing is just right with pauses for character development and thought mixed with both short electric bursts of action and big slower moving sieges and battles as well. Oh and a city/fortress siege to match Tolkien's Helms Deep.

At its heart, the incredilously descriptive and imaginative story is a grasping to conceive the universe and its possibly infinite possibilities. I can see that I have imagined the universe similar to that of the author, not that I or he would ever claim to be transcendant of greater or lesser paths of knowledge on such concepts as our universe. I feel the path he imagines to be correct. For someone who ponders more than anything else, in these pages you will find a great source of thought.

Raymond E. Feist was born and raised in Southern California. He was educated at the University of California, San Diego, where he graduated with honours in Communication Arts. He is the author of the bestselling and critically acclaimed Riftwar saga among other books.
