Psychoses

Moses Laufer (1926 - 2006) was a Canadian psychoanalyst who pioneered work with adolescents and founded the Brent Centre for Young People in London. After moving to London in 1955, he became a member of the British Psycho-Analytical Society, becoming its president in the mid-1980s. He was also chair of the International Psycho-Analytical Association. He published a great number of papers in the 'International Journal of Psychoanalysis', and authored several influential works including 'Adolescence and Developmental Breakdown' (1984), 'The Suicidal Adolescent' (1995), and 'Adolescent Breakdown and Beyond' (1997).

Dr Bernard Penot, is a Psychiatrist (Paris, Salpetriere, 1972.), member of the Paris Psychoanalytical Society and training analyst in the Paris Psychoanalytical Institute, (1992); he was director of the Cerep-Montsouris day hospital for teenagers in Paris from 1988 to 2004; since 1996 he has worked to train psychoanalysts in Istanbul. He is the author of various books published in France and Brazil as well as of several papers in The International Journal of Psycho-Analysis.

Psychiatre et psychanalyste, Philippe Gutton travaille depuis plus de vingt ans sur l'adolescence et avec des adolescents. Expert judiciaire, il a souvent abordé la question de la délinquance juvénile. Directeur de l'Ecole des Parents, il a aussi accompagné des familles confrontées aux "crises" de l'adolescence. Professeur des universités, il a fondé et dirige la revue Adolescence, et a publié notamment Le Pubertaire, et Violence et adolescence.

Annie Birraux, psychiatre, psychanalyste à Paris, a enseigné la psychopathologie de l'enfant à l'Université Paris-Diderot. Elle a publié entre autres L'adolescent face à son corps (Albin Michel, 2013).
