About this ebook

The oddly shaped and versatile kettlebell has only recently gained attention in popular fitness. These objects serve as tremendous ballistic training tools that can quickly result in increases across all fitness domains. This how to book takes you step-by-step from the history of kettlebells, to basic biomechanics, and through an extensive repertoire of kettlebell movements. Each movement is carefully explained and demonstration photos are provided throughout.

Just some of the questions and topics covered include:

•                  What are kettlebells and how do you use them?

•                  What types of exercises are available?

•                  What are the benefits vs. Traditional strength training methods?

•                  What would be a good beginner’s workout with kettlebells?

Strength training with kettlebells helps you to get the maximum advantage out of your time & effort investment in your kettlebell routine. Working out with kettlebells is not simply replacing the dumbbell routines with kettlebells. The off-centre weight of kettlebells can be a boon for certain exercises and it can be a danger to you too if the bells are not handled properly.

This is perhaps, the premier work on the use of the kettlebell for specific muscle groups or total body workouts. Nothing is left to the imagination. It's all here. Exercises for muscle toning, muscle building, core, cardio, fat-burning, agility, and anti-aging. The kettlebell is my favorite piece of exercise equipment because it is so versatile and provides so many benefits. This book provides plenty of free material along with full-length, downloadable videos that are very reasonably priced. I highly recommend this book.

I like how detailed the book is. It is full of so much information, an excellent summary of kettlebell training not only for beginners. It is very comprehensive and I can see using this as a resource in the future as well.

Just got into this program and love it so far. I modified a couple of the lifting moves somewhat to meet my needs, not by much, I still maintained the intent. It appears that the exercises are crossfit type movements which is not a problem, although there were some negative comments about the American style swing utilized in this book. It's not wrong to swing a bell this way, it's practiced in crossfit boxes everywhere, but I tend to favor the Girevoy Sport swing over hard style (previously commented on in the reviews) and American swing. So that was one of the changes I made. Other than that, I added a clean to the squat press making it more like a long cycle movement with the added squat. Makes for a nice kettlebell flow for power and endurance. It's a nice cardio bonus while lifting.
