Inthe two years that have elapsed since the publication of his first everpsychology of fishing, Pavlov's Trout, Dr. Paul Quinnett has held true to hisown advice to go fishing often, with excursions to Alaska, Canada, ChristmasIsland and his home waters around eastern Washington and northern Idaho. Whennot on the water, he is Director of Greentree Behavioral Health in Spokane,Washington He also serves as Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department ofPsychiatry and Behavioral Science at the University of Washington School ofMedicine. Quinnett is a nationally recognized authority on suicide prevention,about which he has written several books, including When Self-help Fails and Suicide: The Forever Decision. He alsocreated "QPR, CPR for Suicide Prevention," a national program for theprevention of suicide.Dr.Quinnett likes to say he's been a fisherman all his life, but a psychologistfor only the last 27 fishing seasons.
