Shane Maloney is the author of Stiff, The Brush-Offโwinner of the Ned Kelly Award for Best Crime Fictionโand The Big Ask. Two of his Murray Whelan novels have been adapted for television in Australia. In 2009, Mr. Maloney received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Crime Writers Association of Australia. Before he became Australiaโs top crime writer, he gave his all as a director of cultural programs to help Melbourne in its bid to host the Summer Olympics. โIt was my job to convince the IOC that we werenโt a complete pack of yoiks,โ he recalls. He resides in Melbourne, Australia.
