Content of the book is great, but as already mentioned by other reviews, the pagination stops at page 468 with lot more to go. Indexing gone wrong?

Buy this elsewhere. It's now 2021 and no one at Google has bothered to fix this page count problem. The content of the book itself is fine and comes with a sample of another of Stephenson's novels.

This is an absolutely phenomenal book. Everyone with an interest in history, science, or adventure should read this novel. I cannot recommend the novel highly enough. On the other hand, I cannot warn you away from this medium of purchasing the novel enough. Unless you are fully immersed in the Google Play -> Adobe Digital Editions -> E-Reader pipeline, I would strongly recommend that you look elsewhere for buying this book. I purchased this digital copy to supplement my paper copy, and the experience has been extremely frustrating. For those that are interested, here is what you can expect: Once you transfer Google your money, you will have the book added to your Google Play library. Fine. You may at that point wish to do something with your book other than fondly inspect it in your Chrome window. So, you download it. Having read the item description in the Google Play page, you will expect to receive a standard EPUB file. You will be mistaken and disappointed. What you will receive instead is an ACSM file, which is basically a digital token that entitles you to a copy of the book in the Adobe Digital Editions application. Okay, fine. You download A.D.E. and open it up. As I said before, if you are immersed in the A.D.E. pipeline, this will be A-OK and you will go about your business. The rest of you, however, finding this interface unfamiliar and undesirable, will extract the EPUB file generated (or downloaded, perhaps?) from A.D.E. and attempt to open it on your device or program of choice. Out of luck, I'm afraid. Your EPUB file has been DRM-locked and cannot be opened without Adobe's permission. Making recourse to the militantly anti-DRM neighborhoods of the Internet, you will then tinker with a few programs downloaded straight from GitHub, attempting to unlock the EPUB file that you now thoroughly resent. A few setbacks will be enough to break your will, and you will decide to leave the whole thing alone for a while, but not before you write an extensive and grumpy review on Google Play.
