A great read, lots of action, I felt some of the characters lacked depth, but that's fair enough as the focus remains on the main player.

For me this one really lacked the unputdownability of earlier books, at various points I felt I was forcing myself to push through.

Another rip roaring space opera at the same time as being a thoughtful and intelligent commentary on the difficulties of dealing with conflict and ambiguity on the human and wider political scale.
About the author
Neal Asher divides his time between Essex and Crete, mostly at a keyboard and mentally light years away. His full-length novels are as follows.
