About the author
Tom Sharpe, l'escriptor més divertit i punyent en llengua anglesa, va néixer a Anglaterra el 1928. Educat a Lancing i Pembroke College, Cambridge, va fer el servei militar als Marines abans d'anar a Sud-àfrica l'any 1951. El 1961 les autoritats sud-africanes el van deportar. Del 1963 al 1972, va ser professor d'història al Cambridge College of Arts and Technology.Les aventures del seu personatge més cèlebre, Wilt, es poden trobar a Columna: Wilt; Wilt, més que mai; i Wilt, els alternatius i els terroristes i Wilt s'ha perdut.
