My First Book of English Activitieshas been planned and conceptualised for preschool children to develop their early listening, speaking, reading and writing skills. The interesting preschool language activities in the book help children identify and read the English alphabet and associate letters with objects. Children will also begin to write the letters of the alphabet. The book introduces basic phonics concepts such as medial short vowel sounds and rhyming words. It also familiarises preschoolers with their immediate surrounding and provides information about shapes, colours, animals, birds, fruits vegetables, number names and a lot more. The activities in the book develop eye-hand coordination, fine motor skills and cognitive skills. Salient features of the series: Reinforcement of lines and strokes to develop pre-writing skills, Play-way method used to introduce letters of the alphabet, Identification and discrimination of capital and small letters of the alphabet, Association of letters with pictures for better understanding, Reading and writing exercises to develop early listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, Use of interesting activities such as matching, colouring, finding the odd one out, maze, word search, crossword, etc.
