Ziauddin Sardar is 'a pioneering writer on Islam' (Guardian) and 'one of the world's foremost Muslim intellectuals' (Jakarta Post). He is renowned worldwide for his works on Islam, and for his global bestseller 'Why do people hate America?' Born in Pakistan and based in London (where he has been Visiting Professor of Postcolonial Studies at City University), Sardar was recently named in the Observer's list of the UK's top public intellectuals.
