About this ebook

A shy kitchenhand. A sultry ex-fireman. And a town’s tradition is about to be tested…

There’ll be no escaping her reputation now, not when Lucy’s hopes of running her own kitchen are derailed by the new guy, Jax. In minutes, he’s managed to stir up the locals and condemn an institution—leaving Lucy jobless!

Bound by a promise to bury his past, Jax’s outback survival is off to an uneasy start as he tries to renovate a deserted farmhouse the wildlife has claimed as their own. In need of help, Jax volunteers to assist Lucy as she tries to flip her fried reputation via a crazy-train of trials. In return, she’ll guide him as they explore the boundaries of family, friendship, and his land.

A land that hides a secret Lucy is entrusted to keep.

A secret that stands between her dreams and the man she loves…

From the bestselling author of the much-adored Elsie Creek Series, the romantic adventure continues in this fun, tasty test of trust, love, and dusty outback traditions, revealing that the perfect recipe for happiness in the home is much bigger than a house—it’s a town.

**The Elsie Creek Series can be enjoyed as a standalone or beautifully binged in order**

Are you ready to Escape to a HAPPILY EVER AFTER?

Caked In Dust is the third book in the Elsie Creek series and is a wonderful addition to the series. I love this series and the townspeople in Elsie Creek. They feel like home along with Cecil, the water buffalo and moving town billboard. Lucy and Jax are lovable, relatable, and caring. The storyline is well written and has vivid descriptions that make you feel like you are in the outback. I cannot wait for the next book in this series. I read and reviewed this book with no obligation.

Miss Nancy has run her Tea House at the station on cattle train day for 30 years. While the Tea House is indeed based on regional traditions that did not allow the women to be seen in the taverns, Miss Nancy has held it as a different kind of tradition. Whether her motives are more unkind or an effort to encourage a young woman to spread her wings, her manner and actions are belittling Can Lucy find her wings in this remote outpost? Can her fire captain settle in and find his own way, or has he been too burned? Elsie Creek us a relic of times gone past, and a community that is fiery, and still supportive - if properly managed Love, family and regional history adventures I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
