This book gathers the latest advances, innovations, and applications in the field of mechanical engineering, as presented by leading international researchers and engineers at the 2020 International Conference on Mechanical Engineering and Materials (ICMEM), held in Beijing, China on October 16-17, 2020. ICMEM covers all aspects of mechanical engineering and material sciences, such as computer-aided design, virtual design and design visualization, intelligent design, usability design, automobile structure, human-machine interface design, manufacturing engineering, aerospace engineering, automation and robotics, micro-machining, MEMS/ NEMS, composite materials, biomaterials, smart materials, superconducting materials, materials properties and applications, materials manufacturing, nanotechnology, nano-materials and nano-composites, etc. The contributions, which were selected by means of a rigorous international peer-review process, highlight numerous exciting ideas that will spur novel research directions and foster multidisciplinary collaborations.
Yazar hakkında
Dr. Jinyang Xu is an associate professor and a doctoral supervisor of Mechanical Engineering at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. He was awarded the Shanghai Pujiang Scholar by the Shanghai Municipality in 2017. He received his M.Sc. (2013) in Mechanical Manufacturing & Automation from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China, and the Ph.D. (2016) in Mechanical Engineering & Materials from Arts et Métiers ParisTech, France. His research interests focus on composites machining, numerical modeling, micro/nano cutting, and surface texturing. He is now serving as an associate editor of Simulation - Transactions of the Society for Modeling and Simulation International (indexed by SCIE/EI). He is also on the editorial board of several JCR-ranked journals, including Green Materials, International Journal of Aerospace Engineering, Advances in Materials Science and Engineering, etc. Moreover, Dr. Xu is also serving as a regular reviewer for over 40 international journals indexed by SCIE/EI, such as IJMTM, JMPT, IJAMT, etc. He has been invited as Keynote/Invited Speaker, Section Chair, and TPC member for a number of international conferences with themes in materials science and manufacturing processes. For his notable research in the field of Materials Processing & Manufacturing, he was honored with the IAAM Scientist Medal of the year 2020, and received the Best Paper Awards at the CJUMP2017 and the ISGMA2015 conferences.
