They draw out the right and wrong lessons learned and explain how they can be used as the basis for meaningful reform that will enable capitalism to keep its ability to create wealth but on a more even and responsible keel.
About the author
Matthew Bishop is the U.S. business editor and chief business writer of The Economist. He was on the faculty of London Business School. Educated at Oxford University, he served as a member of the Sykes Commission on the investment system in the 21st Century. Michael Green was educated at Oxford University and writes about business and economics for The Economist. They are the authors of Philanthrocapitalism: How The Rich Can Save The World (A & C Black, 2008).
