From the unbearable cruelty of the institutions that systematically unraveled Native communities at the turn of the century, to the hard and hollow emptiness of a child’s grave, Treuer has orchestrated a moving account of kinship and survival.

Perihal pengarang
David Treuer is the award-winning author of seven books and was a finalist for the National Book Award and the Carnegie Medal. He is Ojibwe from the Leech Lake Reservation in northern Minnesota and teaches at the University of Southern California.
