This quick read will pull at your heartstrings. Liam is dealing with everything that happened since he gave up being the President of the Heaven Hill MC, Justice being kidnapped and Mandy having a miscarriage. All of the members have dealt with the betrayal and kidnapping differently. Liam definitely has not been the same since Justice was taken and did not see how bad things were with Mandy until Walker told him what he saw. This deals with betrayal, loss, depression, separation and how it affects a family. This does end leaving us wondering if Mandy, Dalton and Walker will be a family again and come out on the other side. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Liam is only about 35 pages, and what it lacks in word count, it makes up for in emotion. Each of these Heaven Hill Shorts touches on the aftermath of the events in Fury when the MC dealt with a kidnapping and losing one of their own, and while they've all had their fair share of emotional turmoil, Liam's family has been hit doubly hard. There are parts of this one that are hard to read and may be triggers for some, but I have to say that Laramie Briscoe handled those parts with the respect the situation deserves while still maintaining the flow and emotional impact of the story. All in all, another great addition to the Heaven Hill stories, and I can't wait for whatever comes next.

Liam (Heaven Hill Shorts #7) by Laramie Briscoe was a great 5 star read. We continue to see how each of the MC members are dealing with the betrayal of a brother and getting their perspective on things. Liam still has a fear for his grandchildren and he keeps an eye on them to make sure they get places safely. When he gets some concerning information from his grandson he decides he needs to step up and be a father. Will he be able to help? Even though it was short I had several emotions reading this. We get a glimpse at how a separation affects children, depression and so much more. Laramie is doing great with these shorts, she pulls you right in with her writing and you're done before you know it. I can’t wait to read more from this series.
