It would have been far better if Pierce's point of view would have been throughout this first book as well instead of a single narrative. In short one story stretched into four.

the storyline was rich versus not with a twist. the characters felt real..you could feel their dysfunctional family dynamics. but I don't think I will be able to read the next one..not right away. it's left a sadness for their plight.. I'm not ready for the next round. (whose afraid of Virginia Wolfe syndrome). it's a great testament to the author for being such a good descriptive writer.

was looking for something to read hear and there, ended up finishing the book in just under 2 days. I couldn't put it down.
