'Tiger Throne' is the second installment in Laura Greenwood's "Sabre Woods Academy" series and I must say, this one seemed exceptionally short for some reason. Still, it gave the highlights of Tiger Crown, book one, and picked up with Kayla winning the tournament and becoming the Shifter Heir to the chagrin of her mother and Serena. Now it seems Kayla has no time for herself at all between schoolwork and continually being called to the Shifter Council. There are several things that have become contradictions from book one to book two with questions whirling in my mind. I'm hoping book three, Tiger Queen, will bring things full circle and answer them for me.

I thought book 1, Tiger Crown was good, however, this book is even better. Kayra finally gets rid of one bully.....Serena isn't in this one. However, her other bully, a.k.a. her mother, goes above and beyond evil this time around. In fact she tries to pull a stunt that's so old school, Kayra grew a set and told her NO. It was fantastic. This is definitely worth your time. And as a side note: I kinda wish Demi and Jeremy will get together.

Such a great story. Katya is now the Shifter Heir and her mother does not like it. She even says that she is going to find something to do about it. Being the Shifter Heir gives Katya a lot more responsibilities and she is having a hard time keeping up with everything. She gets introduced to Jeremy by her mother who tells her that Jeremy is her fated mate. Katya already knows that there is no such thing and actually decides to stand up for herself a little, which I really enjoyed. This book did end in a slight cliff hanger so I can't wait until the next book comes out! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
