About this ebook

When Iabet is made to return to her duties, the last thing she expects is to find love.

Iabet has been ignoring her duties as a goddess for years. When Osiris has ordered her to retake her place purifying the morning sun, she has no choice but to obey.

When the handsome and charming god of the rising sun appears, Iabet realises that her charge might not be as bad as she thinks, and sparks soon fly between the two of them.

But not everything is well in her temple, and she soon uncovers a thief amongst her priestesses. The discovery leaves her shaken and not knowing who to trust.

Can she figure out the truth behind the thefts before it's too late?

Sweet romance! Trouble in the afterlife sends Iabet back to her desert temple to resume her duty to purify the sun God each morning. She is prepared for Ra but instead Khepri appears for the ceremony. They have gotten along in the past but this time is different. More intimate. Iabet enjoys their time together but in the back of her mind she senses something off in her temple. This is an enjoyable romance. Some romance. Some drama. It’s amazing what I learn about the gods of Egypt.

Love Laura’s Forgotten Gods series. As each features a different couple, you can read them as standalones but they are better read in order as there are background storylines. Iabet has been neglecting her duties of purifying the morning sun and Osiris requests she start fulfilling them again. As she performs the ritual each morning, she grows closer to the god of the rising sun and discovers a thief in her temple.

I'm voluntarily leaving a review after receiving a free copy. I found it informative. I'm glad Iabet and Khepri find happiness with each other. I liked the investigation of the thefts.
