About this ebook

She’s blind but determined. He’s grumpy but protective. Together? Pure holiday magic.

Isabella Spier feels the walls closing in—but she can’t see them. Dominated by her overbearing father’s rigid ways since a twist of fate stole her sight, Isabella risks his displeasure by stealing away for an adventure of her own when invited to a friend’s Regency house party for the holidays. But she never dared to dream of meeting a formidable lord who discovers all her secrets and still wants her for his own.

Hiding his war wounds beneath a frosty exterior, Lord Frostwood lives up to his name, freezing out everyone who tries to get close. Everyone, that is, until a spirited wench falls at his feet and proceeds to warm his cold existence, thanks to some strategically placed mistletoe and their resulting Christmas kisses.

But when it’s confrontation time, will Frost know the right way to deal with her ogre of a father, granting Isabella the freedom to choose her future?

I really enjoyed the story of our main character! There were some funny moments that reminded me of similar scenes from other books in the series. I have to say, the way the MMC's ravishment of the FMC on her wedding night was portrayed was quite tasteful. 😊 I don't remember the other books diving into the topic of ravishment in a whole chapter, although they definitely mentioned some interesting terms like shafts and rods here and there! 😁

This second book in the Christmas Kisses series is an engaging and well written novella love story. A blind and closeted heroine, a lord hiding himself away from society due to war wounds, matchmaking best friends, and a house party, was very entertaining. The Christmas party led to a friendship of such humor and wit, that thankfully through time, effort, and persistence, a romance began. I enjoyed having past characters involved, and also, how a romance led to a passionate love. I highly recommend reading!

I read the original version of this story way back in 2020. The author has added additional chapters and characters. Back then, I was utterly enchanted by the blind, strong heroine; the mentally stumbling and bumbling hero; and their delightful banter. The author has a unique spin on Regency, with the use of colloquial put-down and jokes. This book shows how she has continued to evolve as an author. If you enhoy Regency with excellent banter and wordplay, you may enjoy this book as much as I did
