About this ebook

We've all had "aha!" moments in our lives, times when a sudden revelation surprises us with insight. According to pastor and bestselling author Kyle Idleman, we can experience this same kind of "aha!" in our spiritual lives. With everyday examples and trademark testimonies, Idleman draws on Scripture to reveal how three key elements can draw us closer to God and change our lives for good.

Awakening to the reality of our true spiritual condition, we see ourselves and our need for a Savior with renewed honesty. This realization leads to action, obeying God's commands and following the example set by Christ. As we see in the transformation of the prodigal son, the result is a life-changing, destiny-altering collision—an AHA moment that leads us home to our loving Father.

Dangerously misguided attempt to invest simple psychology and neurobiological processes with supernatural elements. The author explicitly advises those with problems not to tackle their problems, or seek any other help but to let their god do it. It's dangerous in that rather than encouraging people with serious problems to seek professional help it tells them that such an approach won't work. It tells them that they are only in the dark place they are in because they've turned away from their god. It judges them. It tells readers that morality and making the 'correct choices' can only come from religious belief - despite overwhelming evidence suggesting that the opposite is true. It exploits the vulnerable and takes advantage of their vulnerability while threatening them with terrible consequences. It makes interesting reading for anyone exploring the techniques used by religious authorities to impose dogma and acquiescence on those they target but should otherwise be avoided.

This book flows just like Kyle's sermons, easy. He does a great job of mixing humor and truths to get the point across to all audiences. Teaches an age old tale of not pushing for something to happen by sitting by hoping and waiting, but by getting out and going for it and doing. Great message for new believers and old believers alike.

I'm sure any of us could have written about AHA as we have all experienced an AHA moment, but this drives home it's about how you respond to your AHA. Kyle relays the message in such a way that the message alone is an AHA! Sometimes you need someone to break things in a way you can understand and with Kyle's humor this makes this book a page turner.
