I'll admit that this is a new to me author and a novel I wasn't too sure about when I started reading. Based on the cover and the description, this is one of those novels that could go one of 2 ways: either be a little on the cheesy, formulaic side, or be fantastic. But the cover definitely caught my eye, causing me to check it out, and I'm quite glad that I did. Rafferty's solid and exciting plot drew me in, kept me thinking, and had me coming back for more. The suspense ran high throughout as Rafferty's vibrant and larger than life descriptions brought everything to the forefront in a manner that was impossible to ignore. The suspense is topped with explosive chemistry between the main characters that had the pages sizzling. And the characters were quite well developed too. I loved the multifaceted development that Rafferty used, letting us get to know them individually, as a pair, and through each others' eyes. This was definitely a suspenseful, emotional, exciting introduction to Rafferty's work for me. I'll definitely be looking for more in the future. Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.

I can only give it one star. The characters were horrible, the repetition of scenarios was atrocious, the storyline disjointed..... And and and I didn't bother to finish it. Don't waste your time.

Loved this book! In it, Marnie is an investigator that is more of a cyber sleuth tasked with tracking down delinquent account owners. She is assigned Dane's account, but almost immediately realizes that his account looks different than most of the other accounts she's investigated. Marnie can't resist a good mystery and delves deeper than she should have....including spying on skype conversations she has no business viewing. As if that isn't bad enough, her snooping leads her to hidden files that convince her Dane is in danger. As a one woman rescue/wrecking crew, Marnie sets off in search of Dane to warn him, but before long they are both running for their lives. This book is witty and has an intelligent heroine that is no damsel in distress, but rather an active participant in her own success. The chemistry between Dane and Marnie is palpable and drew me in, making me care about their characters. If you enjoy fast paced romantic suspense, you will love this book.
