I thoroughly enjoyed the 4th book of the Wounded Heroes series. Lara Swanson is the only female firefighter at the station where Joe Romano is in charge. Lara is struggling with problems at home with her husband who has ALS and requires full time care. Joe is still trying to recover from the guilt of not being able to save his firefighter brother and 2 children in a fire. Add in some suspense, a stalker and the support of friends and coworkers and you have a good book that is hard to put down.

Not as good as the other books in the series, for this reader. Good characters; but, not thrilled with the relationship between the two main characters. A female firefighter is dealing with the declining health of her husband; since his diagnosis of ALS. She is a private person and does not let her co-workers know of her struggles.
