Ros Stillman
This is the first book by this author that I have read. I enjoyed the characters and the mystery but found it was a little heavy on the sex in that they had trouble thinking about the case as sex was on their minds all the time. There was also a few sex scenes that this reviewer skipped as usual. I found the story was well written with lots of information about the time they lived in. It was an exciting time with lots of new inventions. The heroine, her sister and cousin were strong women and they were portrayed beautifully. This book had me turning the page despite the sex. I will look forward to reading more by this author and look forward to the next in the series. I received this as an ARC from Booksprout and freely give my review..

Engaging and interesting mystery. Wow talk about a book that grabs the reader this one is completely captivating. Eleanora Galway is one smart cookie she can handle a gun, knife and sword she is bold and confident and Christian Bamford, Duke of Allenby is blown away. Eleanora has started her own detective agency because the London Metropolitan Police is going to be so closed minded and not allow women on the force. When events occur that cause Eleanora and Christian to meet the sparks start to fly. This well-written mystery was a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon. The characters and plot were engaging I loved every minute of it. Do yourself a favorite and pick this one up it was outstanding. I received this book for free from eBook Discovery and voluntarily chose to review it.

In this Victorian detective novel, The Rakes of St Regent's Park receive a nasty surprise, one that not only makes them gag but brings home to them that they have made an enemy. Should they call in the police, the chances are that the spotlight would be put on their private lives and thus expose them to public ridicule. Instead, they call upon the Galway Agency to investigate the matter and to assist them in rooting out the perpetrator. The Duke of Allenby is taken aback when Eleanora arrives dressed as a young man, together with her sister. However, their observations make him realize that the young ladies are far more intelligent and analytical than he could have anticipated. I was drawn into the intrigue and found myself rooted to my chair as I read this novel late into the night. The attraction between Eleanor and the Duke, Christian Bamford, is palpable and I enjoyed the way in which they interacted. I was also interested to read about the strides made in technology at the turn of the twentieth century together with the changes that had come about in society. Although the start of a new series, this mystery is nevertheless a standalone and comes to a good conclusion. I received this book for free from eBook Discovery. I voluntarily post this review. This is my honest review
