A cute story: It was fabulous being back at Oakside and seeing another wounded vet find healing and love. This time it was a sweet love story about second chances and starting over again. Lauren and Gavin were childhood sweethearts and it was great that they could reclaim the lives that they had dreamed about years ago. Whilst charming, I did find it a little simplistic and Gavin's issues were rectified too neatly and fully to feel totally realistic. I nevertheless look forward to the next book in this delightful series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Gavin a war veteran had been injured and loses his sight sending him for rehab to Oakside where he meets up with his physical therapist Lauren who is also his ex. This is a sweet, dramatic and romantic story about forgiveness and second chances. I loved how the characters from past books have been incorporated into the story and also his son Graham as well.
