About the author

JOSEPH MURPHY (1898 – 1981) was born in Ireland . He moved to the U.S. in his twenties and became a pharmacist and member of the Church of the Healing Christ. He later moved to Los Angeles, where he met Ernest Holmes. He subsequently became a minister of the Los Angeles Divine Science Church and obtained a PhD in Psychology.
