Silent Order: Royal Hand

Muddling through the multiple "Hand" novellas of Jonathan Moeller, I find myself grateful that they do not end with a cliffhanger. Theoretically he tells a complete story in each novella, though they are somewhat repetitive at times. The primary characters are interesting enough to keep me coming back for more despite the heavily patriarchal tone of the main character and his chosen world. Female characters are portrayed as intelligent, though weak physically and mentally. I am hopeful that this is a flaw of the main character and the Christian nation which he serves rather than the personal philosophy of the author. When writing wish fulfillment fiction it is important to fulfill the wishes of a broad audience.
