I am quite well read in the sleep category and I found this to be one of the best health related books ever. If everyone read this book we would be storming the halls of schools and workplaces to make change. It is hard to understand the negative review of this book other than realizing how imbalanced we are when it comes to sleep and the importance of fixing this. Anxiously awaiting the results of some of the research underway.

This book is worth the read to understand the basis of sleep, ramifications of not sleeping enough or well, and what to do to improve sleep. The one thing I would like to understand better is how to reduce arthritis pain disrupting sleep, and how to select the best bed, pillow, etc. based on body type and sleep preferences (side, back, stomach). This did provide lots of jumping off points to do some more self-research. Great resource for everyone. Sleep stigma is real and needs to be countered for everyone's health.

I love this book SO MUCH that I've bought more copies for my friends and family. I've been an insomniac my whole life and I am not a morning person. This book explained a lot about what we know/think we know/theories about sleep. I learned a lot and made me finally not feel lazy about not being bright eyed and bushy tailed at 7am :D Share it with anyone, of any age, that is having trouble sleeping.
