A Soldier's Dare

I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it. This is a fantastic story. I just adored the two protagonists. The plot flowed smoothly and the scenes beautifully written. This was written in my favorite dual POV format. Getting that glimpse into the two different characters' thoughts really helped me to identify with them and understand them so much better. There were times when Belle seemed a little too much. But seeing where she was coming from you just knew that her heart was so pure and caring. Jack Radcliffe returns from war a broken man maybe not in body but in spirit. He carries a heavy burden. An event during his last tour is something he won't speak about to anyone not even his sister. Jack attends a function with his sister and her husband (who is a Fortune). It is there that he sees a beautiful woman. That woman is Belle Fortune. Belle has her eye on another man. Jack dares her to kiss him to help in her cause. Seeing her kiss another man should make the other guy take notice of her! Jack and Bella are so perfect for each other. Can Belle see that Jack is the better man? Will Jack finally tell someone of his dark secret? You will have to read this to find out! I will have to go back and read the first novel in this series as there is a small underlying sub-plot that I will have to read right from the beginning. You really don't have to read the first book to fully enjoy this story though. I highly recommend this to anyone. This story is just enchanting and will take you away from your cares for a little while.
