This dictionary is specifically designed to meet the needs of English speakers who are studying or using Thai on a daily basis. It contains over 15,000 entries including all the vocabulary (in both directions) needed for everyday use.

All headwords are in bold for easy look-up, and the Thai-English section is organized alphabetically using the standard Thai Romanization system. All words are given in romanized forms as well as in the traditional script.

About the author

Jintana Rattanakhemakorn graduated from Chiang Mai University with a bachelor's degree in Thai, and completed her master's degree in English at Khon Kaen University. She also holds a certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language from Seattle University College of Education. She taught Thai to U.S. college students at CIEE study abroad program in Khon Kaen, Thailand from 2004 to 2017. She developed curriculum, textbooks, teaching methods, materials, lesson plans, and activities used in all Thai language courses. Currently, she is teaching Thai to international students at ASEAN Language Center and also teaching English at International College, Khon Kaen University. In addition, she is the author of the Easy Thai: Learn to Speak Thai Quickly (Tuttle 2015) and has revised the Survival Thai Phrasebook (Tuttle 2016), the Instant Thai Phrasebook (Tuttle 2016), the Making Out in Thai (Tuttle 2017).
