I absolutely loved Secret Charm by Jill Sanders it is an incredible love at first sight romantic thriller. It is the ninth book in her The Secret series. Secret Charm is the first book that I have read by Jill Sanders and am looking forward to reading other books in the series. I was pleased that each book is a standalone and that I did not have to have read the other books in her series to enjoy Secret Charm. Jill Sanders showed that she is an amazing storyteller. I could not put Secret Charm down and I loved every moment on every page. Who doesn't love hot sexy men, strong females, loving families, and friends, who always support one another? I really enjoy how the book is told from the perspective of the main characters. I love getting the insight and feelings from the different characters. Secret Charm is a love at first sight love story and is filled with heartbreaking and heartwarming moments. I love the lighter moments where I find myself smiling and laughing out loud. My favorite moments are the ones that pull at my heartstrings that cause me to sigh, as I read the heartbreaking moments. Secret Charm is filled with such moments, and with so much emotion. It is filled with all those things that we have come to love and expect in a love story, and Jill Sanders did not disappoint, especially with her delivery of the poignant and bittersweet moments that filled this page turner. Secret Charm is the story of Beau Montgomery, scuba instructor, charter boat owner, and former Special Ops member and Nicole “Nicky” Cardone, investigative journalist. Nicky and Beau meet when Nicky arrives at the dock to board his charter boat, Ho’omau, in search of Lokelani’s treasure. Nicky and her team are covering the search for the treasure. Conversation between Nicky and Beau flows so easily, I love that both Nicky and Beau share secrets with one another that they have not shared with anyone before, especially the secrets that Beau shares about his last mission. I love that they were both so vulnerable and that Nicky changed because of Beau’s encouragement. As Nicky and Beau spend time together, things change between them. Someone trashes Nicky’s resort bungalow, the body of Nicky’s boss, Jake’s contact is found on Beau’s boat, Beau is assaulted, the wiring on for the solar panels on Beau’s home are tampered with, and shots are fired at the boats at the dive site. Beau and Nicky are trying to discover who is behind these incidents, all while Nicky is trying to get her story. I love the plot twist that leads Nicky and Beau to realize who was behind all the happenings and the whereabouts of the treasure. I was totally surprised when it was all revealed. I love all the changes that Nicky was willing to make in her life, because she wanted a future with Beau. I love the actions that Beau took to keep Nicky safe and how Nicky was able to defend herself. I loved the multiple plot twists in the story, and how they are all so wonderfully resolved in this incredible story. I loved that Secret Charm is a more than just a romance, there are dilemmas that both Nicky and Beau are facing that need to be resolved. I love Nicky and Beau’s love story. I love how all the storylines get so beautifully resolved. I love that the epilogue goes above and beyond the happily ever after. I love all the descriptions of the Hawaiian setting that Jill Sanders details so beautifully, it makes me want to visit. Secret Charm is filled with the poignant and bittersweet moments in the story as well as the plot twists, that I have come to love and expect in a romantic thriller. I love the cast of characters in Secret Charm, and I am looking forward to reading other books in the series. Who doesn’t love family and friends that always have each other’s backs? I thoroughly enjoyed Secret Charm, who doesn’t love a love at first sight love story. Highly recommend this incredible romantic thriller.
