About this ebook

Are you living in silent shame, hiding a “secret sin”? Maybe you numb life’s pain with a bottle, razor blade, or sex. Maybe you “binge and purge” or act on feelings for other girls. Whatever your “secret”—shocking or not—if you’re trapped by it, you’re trapped by it. And chances are you’re not getting help because you’re too scared of what people would think if they found out.

Unashamed breaks the silence about the sins girls think they have to hide. With daring and a touch of humor, author Jessie Minassian shares her own story of struggle and victory. God longs for you to live in the freedom He died for!

So whether you’re caught in a cycle of sin yourself or just want to know how to help the silent sufferers all around you, let this book be the beginning of your journey toward health, healing, and freedom in His love for you.

This was an amazing book. I was astonished by Jessie's openness, and willingness to share her journey. It is so cool to see the way that God can use us all, no matter what we have been through. I would highly recommend this book because it is like a battle plan. It lays out the ways to start getting unglued from these secret sins that we keep hidden inside. I found new ways to focus on God. As I read in the book, secret sins are more about you than about God. We get so caught up in the sins, that we forget that the door is already open for us to get out, but we are too comfortable to change anything. Amazing read!

I see where people thought this book was better written for teenage girls, but in all honesty I'm 24 years old and the basic principles and God's truth intertwined in this book to help you with secret sin goes for any woman at any age. I think if you were to read it as an adult you will just have to do the adult thing and make it your own and draw up examples that relate to you and whatever circumstance your reading, but I also think that can be true for the teenagers reading it. They will have to dig deep to truly be able to apply this book to their own lives. If you are being honest with yourselves, others, and God while reading this book I think you will find truth and help with your struggle.
