Jerry Spinelli wrote the book Crash. The purpose of this book was to entertain the reader. Modern day life is the setting of this book. The message of this book is to be nice to everyone and treat everyone with respect. I could not agree more.
Jerry Spinelli did a good job with humor in the story. One example is from the text is “Penn Webb is going out for cheerleading, that’s a shocker!” on page 44 line 10. Most people would call that funny. Another humorous part of this book is “A Quaker?”, “What’s a Quaker?”, “The only Quaker I have heard of was Quaker Oats cereal.” This example is on page 13 lines 1-2. These are the most entertaining parts in Jerry Spinelli’s Crash.
I had quite a few connections with the text. One of my connections was with the main character, Crash, who played football. I love football, so does Crash. I made another connection with Crash. I have a sister just like him. The age difference between Crash and his sister is the same as between my sister and me. These are connections I had with the book.
This book made me happy, sad, worried, and confused. This book made me sad when Scooter had a stroke. This book made me worried when the doctors said that Scooter might not be O.K. This book made me happy when the reports came in saying Scooter would be O.K. Jerry Spinelli did an excellent job with this book. I liked the book because it is a humor book. My favorite genre is humor. I think anyone who reads the book Crash will like it. This is an awesome book, and I think you should add it to your home library collection.
Crash by Jerry Spinelli is a terrific book. It is funny. It has great settings. Most importantly this book is entertaining. This is why Crash is an amazing book.
