Maggie Lee may be an inept hitwoman, but she pays her debts.

While Maggie has other things to worry about, namely protecting her father from whoever is trying to kill him, Mia makes it impossible for her to not reciprocate the favor.

Bound by a pinky swear, Maggie tracks down Mia’s soon-to-be-ex but doing so puts her at odds with the guys who have her back: Patrick, Zeke and Gino.

If Maggie’s not careful, her long-ago promise could have deadly consequences…especially since her psychic friend has predicted she’s going to die.

Another winner! I loved this book - actually, I love the whole series. Maggie, the reluctant hitwoman, finds herself being pulled in multiple directions as everyone seems to need something from her. But who does she help first? Her murder boss, her murder mentor, her niece, her aunts, the police - no matter what she does, someone will be unhappy. As she navigates this, a former friend of hers implores her for help, citing a favor owed from when they were kids. Trying to repay that favor leads Maggie into even more dangerous situations and drama. This book is filled with humor and mystery as Maggie struggles to find the right thing (or the least wrong) to do. While this is part of a series, this is a stand alone novel. However, its so good that you really owe it to yourself to read them all. The author is one of my favorites and is on my must read authors' list.
