About the author
Lore Segal, Jahrgang 1928, stammt ursprünglich aus Wien und lebt seit der Nachkriegszeit in New York. Sie ist im Intellektuellen-Milieu der USA eine bekannte Person; kaum eine renommierte Universität – wie Princeton oder Columbia –, an der sie nicht als Hochschullehrerin tätig gewesen wäre; hat sich vor allem einen Namen als Zeithistorikerin und Holocaust-Forscherin gemacht; Autorin mehrerer belletristischer und wissenschaftlicher Bücher.
