"He'd do anything to be back in Vanessa's life." I liked Vanessa when I read book one, His Witness. She was so smart and nice, I never guessed for a minute she was hiding a broken heart. I fell for Declan immediately. Charming, intelligent, and a really great guy, he even owned his responsibility for their breakup ten years earlier. These two were meant to be together and I'm so happy they found each other again. Everything seemed so natural, I don't know how they survived all those years apart. The story was short but still had plenty of action, and the end was solid. We even got to see Diego and Anna living their hea. This is a good series and I'm looking forward to whatever Tami has planned next.

His Honor is Book 2 of The Protectors. It's a steamy, OTT, second-chance romance. Declan is a hunky, high-profile judge who was shot at. Vanessa is a smart and feisty U.S. Marshall. The two dated 10 years ago until he forced her to break up with him. He was hiding a secret and found it easier to push her away. Now, she has been put in charge of his security detail. She hates him but also loves him. He still loves her. She wants answers. Will she get them? And can she keep him safe? This was a great, fast-paced read with hot chemistry, drama, and mystery. Our couple does get a happy ending, but it was an emotional roller-coaster ride. I can't wait for Emery's story next!!!.
