❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ 💋💋💋 This is an awesome book . What can I say about the main characters . Alan is Scrumptious, he’s brave , thoughtful , loving and devoted. Kirstie is strong , feisty, stubborn and in love for years with Alan . Together the one thing that means more to them than each other is family and the Clan . As relationships and emotions are stretched to breaking point is it possible these two will get to the end of the book unscathed . Lori has written another hit , I wish I could give more than five stars it definitely deserves it . A fantastic book that hooks you at page one and keeps you dangling right to the end . Highland Temptation by Lori Ann Bailey is the third book in the Highland Pride series. This is a fascinating series of books written about the Cameron Clan. Kirstie Cameron is Lachlan Cameron’s (from book 1) only sister. This is her love story. Kirstie has been in love with her brother’s best friend Alan Mackenzie. But when she shared her heart with him, he brutally rejected her. Years later they meet again at Edinburgh Castle in Scotland. “Warm, joking eyes from her past fixated on her as he held her so close she could feel the warmth that radiated from him. Soul-shattering embarrassment assailed her as a tremble of recognition rushed through her. And yet at the same time, she fought back the desire to sink into him. “Tis good to see ye, Kirstie.” Alan’s gaze softened to the sincere gray that reminded her of cool overcast evenings, of home, and for a moment, she thought she saw longing in their depths. Alan Mackenzie can’t believe it when his laird’s sister Kirstie takes on some foolhardy mission to try to uncover who’s behind the plot to kill her brothers. He may not be good enough for Kirstie, but he’ll be damned if anyone else touches her. But he’s undercover as well, and one false move could betray them both. Kirstie Cameron’s brothers Lachlan & Malcolm are in danger, and if she has to flirt with the enemy to save them, she will. But her plans are hindered when the annoyingly handsome Alan Mackenzie refuses to leave her alone. He broke her heart years ago, and now he’s turned traitor & is working with the other side. This is the third book in this brilliant series whilst this book could be read on its own why would you when all three books are awesome. It’s hard to believe that this is only the author’s third book it's so accomplished. I was drawn in from the first page & was totally hooked. It has everything, a swoon worthy hero, a feisty heroine, spies, intrigue & of course romance. If you love highlander stories then don’t miss out on a great read. I hope there are lots more books to follow, Malcolm deserves his HEA as do Blair & Finlay My honest review is for a special copy I voluntarily read

Lori Ann Bailey is a winner of the National Readers’ Choice Award and Holt Medallion for Best First Book and Best Historical. She has a romantic soul and believes the best in everyone. Sappy commercials and proud mommy moments make her cry.

She sobs uncontrollably and feels emotionally drained when reading sad books, so she started reading romance for the Happily Ever Afters. She was hooked.

Then, the characters and scenes running around in her head as she attempted to sleep at night begged to be let out. Looking back now, her favorite class in high school was the one where a professor pulled a desk to the center of the room and told her to write two paragraphs about it and the college English class taught by a red-headed Birkenstock wearing girl, not much older than she, who introduced her to Jack Kerouac. After working in business and years spent as a stay-at-home mom she has found something in addition to her family to be passionate about, her books.

When not writing, Lori enjoys time with her real-life hero and four kids or spending time walking or drinking wine with her friends.
