I was inspired to write a book, for my son Ryan, to bring into his classroom during National Children's Dental Health Month, to teach his class about healthy habits for their teeth. I wanted to be able to have a fun way of teaching others that caring for your mouth, will benefit your body as well.

I have been a dental hygienist for over fifteen years. I love my job, which involves helping people care and maintain their teeth. Teaching others to care for their teeth with proper dental hygiene and good nutrition has been very rewarding. I was inspired to write a book for my son, Ryan, to bring into his classroom during National Children’s Dental Health Month, to teach his class about healthy habits for their teeth. I wanted to be able to have a fun way of teaching others that caring for your mouth will benefit your body as well. I live in Peru, New York, with my husband, Bob, my son, Ryan, and our chocolate Lab, Dutch. Living in the Adirondacks allows us to enjoy the great outdoors every season. Some of the things we like to do include skiing, hiking, boating, and cycling. And for me more recently, writing.
