"Faith development cannot be divided into components. Rather it can be likened to the growth of a plant: seed, root, stem, leaf, bud, bloom. Each step happens in sequence, yet all are dependent on the earlier and continuing phases. All phases are the plant; the bloom is no more the plant than are the leaves or roots. So it is with faith: all phases are faith. Yet there is a distinct pattern of development."

نبذة عن المؤلف
Bruce P. Powers is the Langston Professor of Christian Education and Associate Dean for Graduate Programs, Campbell University Divinity School, Buies Creek, North Carolina. He has served as an educational minister in churches in Georgia and Kentucky, was on the staff of the Sunday School Board in Nashville, Tennessee, and since 1978 has been teaching and writing in the areas of congregational leadership and Christian education. Dr. Powers has written or contributed to more than a dozen books used in theological education and is the editor of two widely-used textbooks, the 'Church Administration Handbook' and the 'Christian Education Handbook.'
