Dr. Saritha Appukuttan was awarded her PhD from Mahatma Gandhi University in 2012 working in the field of polymer nanocomposites. She has also been worked for two years on the development of gas barrier membranes on an ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization) project. She has published around 25 book chapters with highly reputed publishers and several research papers in high impact international journals such as Composites Part A, Composites Part B, and Materials Chemistry and Physics and has edited two books on “Fibre Reinforced Composites: Constituents, compatibility, perspectives and applications (Elsevier) and on “Luminescent Metal Nanoclusters (Elsevier). Currently, she is editing two more books on “Lignin and its Composites: A sustainable tool for health care and medical applications and “Zero-Dimensional Carbon Nanostructures to be published by RSC and Elsevier, respectively.
Dr. Jitha S. Jayan obtained her PhD from Amrita Viswa Vidyapeetham, Kollam in 2020 working in the field of epoxy nanocomposites. She is an active researcher and has co-authored several book chapters and numerous high impact journal publications. At present she is working as a Principal Project Associate with the India Innovation Centre for Graphene which is a collaboration between the Centre for Materials of Electronics Technology, Tata Steel, and the Kerala Government. Her research areas include polymer nanocomposite graphene-based hybrids, block copolymers, 2D materials, and epoxy toughening.
Ms. Sethulekshmi A. S. is an active researcher in the field of multi-functional polymer composites working under the guidance of Dr. Saritha Appukuttan. She completed her integrated M.Sc. in chemistry from Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham in 2018 and has recently been awarded her PhD in Materials Science in 2023. She has co-authored several articles in high impact international journals and book chapters. Her research areas include metal chalcogenides, rubber nanocomposites, and antimicrobial studies.
