Phenomenal! CMC once again brings an infectious, human horror. A dreadful dance with addiction to people and substances. An in depth and horrifying experience in codependency and being dependent on a psychotropic, psychedelic entity of a shroom like none other. Writing that is both heartfelt and harrowing, quite addictive I'm it's own sense. I couldn't put it down once I'd started and that's what readers want in a good book! So how about it? Want to get Haunted?

This book is definitely very different. I've not read anything quite like it. People Taking drugs to see, speak with, and hear the dead? The book tends to jump from one scene, to an entirely different scene without warning. So you'll have to pay very close attention to when it happens, or else it wont make any sense after a certain moment. Also, this book is written in a way that feels very.....reccent? The terms, words used, and all the settings make it feel very 2022/2023. Noticing the publishing date now, makes complete sense for that. This book doesn't feel dated, or vintage in anyway. I'm running out of room here, so I'll say this. This book deals with major drug use, grief, trauma, etc. If you're triggered very easily, then this may not be the book for you. But I think this was definitely worth the read, I've not seen, read anything quite like it.
