About the author

One of the world’s most recognised Olympic athletes and double World Diving Champion, Tom Daley won gold at the European Championship in 2008 at the age of just thirteen. In 2012, he won his first title at the FINA Diving World Series, alongside his second European gold, before scooping bronze medals at the London Olympics and then again in Rio.

In 2021, Tom won gold medals in the individual and synchro events at the 2021 FINA Diving World Cup before heading to Tokyo to compete in his fourth Olympics, winning a gold and bronze medal, making him the most-decorated British diver of all time. He won a silver medal at the 2024 Olympics in Paris in the synchro event.

A three-time BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year winner and an advocate for LGBTQ+ rights across the world, Tom currently lives in London with his husband and son.
