Gert Prokop, Autor von Kriminalromamen und Science Fiction, Kinderbuchautor. Geboren 1932 in Richtenberg (Vorpommern). Nach dem Abitur Volontär und Redakteursausbildung, später Journalistikstudium. 1967-70 Arbeit im DEFA-Dokumentarfilmstudio Berlin, Gruppe Heynowski & Scheumann.Ab 1971 freischaffender Schriftsteller. Gert Prokop lebte bis zum seinem Selbstmord im Frühjahr 1994 in Berlin.
