In one word... Incredible I don't often leave reviews, I can't begin to explain how fantastic this book is. It's deeply harrowing, horrific in places but at the same time it's filled with love and hope. It's a difficult book to read, emotionally but I have to say, possibly the best book I have ever read. This story will certainly stay with me for a very long time.

not sure what to write that would do this book justice. it's one of my favourite ever books. beautiful and touching and thrilling all at the same time telling such an important story that should never be forgotten..

Amazing story of survival and determination to never give up on those you love. The story revealed a heart felt feeling of the loss and fear that these precious children of God had to endure because evil saw let loose on a race of people . Must read

Georgia Hunter comes from a family of Holocaust survivors. We Were the Lucky Ones was born of her quest to uncover her family's staggering history. It has since been published in twenty languages and adapted into a critically acclaimed TV series. One Good Thing is her second novel. She lives in Connecticut, USA.
