All books in the Untamed Sons universe can be read as standalones, but are better enjoyed read in order. This is a dark romantic story with a guaranteed happily ever after. It does have some strong language, graphic violence and content that might be triggering.

Fury's behaviour and character are the product of his brutal childhood and upbringing. He holds a high rank in the MC and his thirst for blood and dealing out torture is fierce. Even his brothers know when to give him a wide berth and his demeanour is to be feared. Amelia witnessed him in action and the murder he committed. Despite this, she strangely, whilst she may be afraid of him and his actions, she does not actually fear him. becomes intrigued by her stalker and minder, turning him for hellp, when instead of disposing of her, he became her self appointed guardian protector. A strange combination of personality and character, especially as he hates to be touched. A unlikely coupling yet it works for them. He does not seem to be the person to be in an intimate and loving relationship, but accepts what is offered. She provides a safety net for his demons and a sense of peace for his periods of high unrest, Dark, darkness and dangerous.

This is a very dark MC romance and should come with a trigger warning of child abuse and neglect. Fury is a victim of child abuse and as a result cannot stand to be touched by others and has a bloodlust like no other. Amalia is also a victim of neglect and grew up in the foster system. Their connection is one of shared trauma that is heartbreaking at times. There is a lot of emotional drama, some steam and a ton of action keep this book moving and the reader engaged.
