Reading the word can seem like an almighty effort sometimes but when you understand the Bible was made to be read by all then the pressure to fully understand everything is taken off and the word is allowed to speak for itself. Eugene Peterson takes the stabilizers off the bike and allows us to understand fully that the word is to be read, He gives us insight how to read it and sets us free to read it for ourselves.

About the author
Eugene Peterson is a pastor, scholar, writer and poet. As author of The Message, the multi-million-selling contemporary-language paraphrase of the Bible, he is one of the bestselling and most respected Christian authors in the world today. He was Professor Emeritus of Spiritual Theology at Regent College in Vancouver, British Columbia until retiring in 2006.
