This book fills a gap in the existing literature by combining a plethora of WSN-based emerging technologies into a single source so that reviewers can form opinions regarding these technologies. It presents different types of emerging communication technologies based on WSNs and describes how wireless sensor networks can be integrated with other communication technologies. It covers many of the new techniques and demonstrates the application of WSNs. The book is composed of 14 chapters, divided into four parts.

O autorze

Mubashir Husain Rehmani is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT), Wah Cantonment, Pakistan. He earned his PhD degree from Universite of Pierre et Marie Curie (Sorbonne Universites), Paris, France, in 2011. Dr. Rehmani is an editor of IEEE Communications Surveys & Tutorials and an associate editor of IEEE Communications Magazine, IEEE Access, Journal of Network and Computer Applications (Elsevier) and Wireless Networks (Springer). He also is serving as a guest editor of Ad Hoc Networks (Elsevier), FGCS (Elsevier), IEEE Access, and Pervasive and Mobile Computing (Elsevier).

Al-Sakib Khan Pathan earned his PhD degree in computer engineering in 2009 from Kyung Hee University, South Korea, and his BSc degree in computer science and information technology from the Islamic University of Technology (IUT), Bangladesh, in 2003. He is currently a faculty member (at large) at the Faculty of Computer and Information Systems at Islamic University in Madinah, Madinah al-Munawwarah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and a visiting faculty at University of Asia Pacific, Bangladesh. From August 2010 to July 2015, he served as an assistant professor in the Computer Science Department at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), Malaysia.
