Hello, welcome! My name is María Pérez Solas and I was born in the north of Spain, in an area very famous for its wines called La Rioja. Since I was little, I have always had an interest in languages, especially my native language, Spanish. It was the subject where I got my highest marks! At the age of twenty, I wanted to see more of the country, so I went to look for work in Barcelona, the second largest city in Spain. Later, I decided that I wanted to continue training and I graduated in Spanish linguistics. This has allowed me to be a language and literature teacher for more than twenty years in Secondary Education, both for native and foreign students. When I realised that I really enjoyed teaching foreign students, I went on to do a master's degree in teaching Spanish for foreigners. I distinctly remember between 1992 and 1995, as there were quite a few students who came from Bosnia because of the war. It was a unique experience for me to be able to help children who had to flee their country. They all passed their exams... and they deserved it, of course! With all that I have learned from my teaching experience, I have developed this as a personal project: adapting and updating a selection of the best works of Spanish literature for different levels of Spanish teaching (from A2 to C2), and accompanying them with interactive comprehension and expression exercises, grammar and vocabulary. I hope these books help inspire you as they have done others! ¡Hola!, ¿qué tal? Me llamo María Pérez Solas y nací en el norte de España, en una zona muy famosa por sus vinos llamada La Rioja. Desde pequeña me gustaron los idiomas, sobre todo el mío, el español: era la asignatura en la que tenía mejores calificaciones. Con 20 años quería ver mundo, así que me fui a Barcelona, la segunda ciudad más grande de España, a buscar trabajo. Más tarde decidí que quería seguir formándome y me licencié en Filología Hispánica, lo que me ha permitido ser profesora de lengua y literatura durante más de 20 años en Educación Secundaria, tanto para alumnos nativos como extranjeros. Como vi que enseñar a alumnos extranjeros me gustaba muchísimo, hice un Máster de Formación de Profesores en Español para Extranjeros. Recuerdo especialmente los años 1992 a 1995: vinieron bastantes alumnos de Bosnia a causa de la guerra. Para mí fue una experiencia única poder ayudar a unos niños que habían dejado su país a la fuerza. Los aprobé a todos... ¡Se lo merecían, por supuesto! Con todo lo que he aprendido de mi experiencia docente, he desarrollado este proyecto personal: adaptar y actualizar una selección de las mejores obras de la literatura española para diferentes niveles de enseñanza de español (desde A2 a C2), y acompañarlas de ejercicios interactivos de comprensión y expresión oral y escrita, gramática y vocabulario. ¡Espero que te gusten!
