The story line of this book was good just poorly executed. Unfortunately, the key points were extremely repetitive, constantly reminding you of the past and current status. It's like having constant recaps while binge watching a tv show. I also found it overly predictable due to the heavy foreshadowing. I felt the more enjoyable scenes could have been just... more. If you can get past these faults, or it takes you a long time to read a book, then it's worth the read.

CORT GRIER & MINA MICHAELS: Cort, one of the Grier brothers in other books under SK's pen name, Diana Palmer, poses as a working cowboy to find a woman he could marry. Self-sufficient Mina writes romance novels, works her ranch, knits, cooks; and, stomps on Cort's boot the first time she meets him. Great character development, scenery descriptions and plots with subplots. Love the Grier boys' romances...one to go!

I loved the competition between the two characters Cort and Jake. I also loved the way Mina and Cort started out as enemies and eventually ended up lovers and in between that the seduction at the hotel. Not to mention the secrets between the two of them, that was quite the eye opener for both of them. Good read, interesting plot and good ending.
